Our Hall

The above photographs show the Kilbarchan house where the first meeting of our Scout Group took place in the Autumn of 1909. The name 'Sunnyside' turned out to be highly appropriate as the Group had a bright future ahead of it from these humble beginnings! The group increased in size and soon outgrew this small room, new premises would need to be found.

The present scout hall, built in 1964, is situated at the heart of the village on Barn Green and is shown above. The premises consists of a main hall, lesser hall, leaders room, kitchen and Gents, Ladies and Disabled toilets. The lesser hall was added in 1991 to provide a meeting space for the Explorer Scouts, but it is also used by our local after school club, the Habbies.
